This February, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Eversince, beach has always been our happy place.
The sea is a witness that after 10 years of being in a relationship and 4 years as a married couple, we still DO love each other.
After searching for a beach near Manila, we’ve decided to go to Padre, Burgos Quezon. (5-6 hours drive)

It was our first Quezon adventure, and I am excited to share with you why we fell in love with the Province of Quezon and why you should put it on your travel bucket list too.
We went to three islands in Padre Burgos and Pagbilao, Quezon
- Borawan (Boracay and Palawan in One)
- Dampalitan Island
- Puting Buhangin (Pagbilao, Quezon)
Borawan – white sand of Boracay (not so powdery though) and rock formation of Palawan in one island. If you want to disconnect to the world and enjoy quality time with family and nature, we suggest this place. But we went there on a weekday so I am not sure if it is crowded during the weekends. We practically had the whole island for ourselves that time.
There are cabanas and tents for rent and a small sari-sari store where you can buy food.

They have an entrance fee of Php 150/head. They offer free shower in the area 🙂
Dampalitan Island – the island is also a mini paradise. Compared to Borawan it looks simplier but with many trees. We didn’t stay long in this island because of the jelly fishes. It was not safe to swim during that time that time. (Kuya, our boatman, told us it was just because of the season)
Puting Buhangin – 45 minutes boat ride from Dampalitan Island, this island became our instant favorite.
They have an entrance fee of Php 80/person. It is also where the Kwebang Lampas was located.
We really enjoyed our stay in this island, we suggest you to visit this island first, then dampalitan and last Borawan so you can stay longer in this island.
How to get there?
We stayed at Tamarind Tree Resort and had them arrange the island hopping and caving.

The boatman told us that we can also go directly to the islands. (we can contact someone so we can park our vehicle)
