Applying for a passport for your baby or kid?

Travelling international? or you just need an ID for your child?

I want to share with you the whole process on how to get a passport for your little one.

DFA

Nakakatuwa kasi may “courtesy lane” pala ang DFA mommies and isa sa list ng pwede sa courtesy lane ay ang minors below 7 years old.Praying kami for a slot sa DFA for hubby, kaso wala talagang available ‘nun and upon checking some online articles pwede pala ang minor na may plus one sa passport application. Yes, walang appointment needed mommies, walk-in lang.

So we grabbed the opportunity na makapagpa-renew si husband ng passport nya at the same time ikuha na rin si Zee.

Here are the requirements for the minor applicants:

Personal appearance of the child (7 years old and below)

Personal appearance of either one of the parents

PSA birth certificate (original)

Marriage Contract of parents (original)

School ID (if available)

Parent’s Valid IDs

Medyo mahaba ang pila sa PSA. To those based in the south, nasa Ayala South Park na ang PSA.

Around 4-5 hours ata akong nasa PSA, but I was able to get the copies on the same day.

Application Process:

  • Go to the information counter and DFA staff will assist you and check all your requirements if complete and correct
  • Fill up the forms , the staff will give you a receipt to pay at the cashier
  • Pay at the cashier
  • Photo and other information taking
  • Wait for your claim stub

(Note: Depending on your time of visit, minsan may pila pa rin mommies)

Zeepassport

Bring extra polo for boys, or wear decent attire, for girls, spaghetti straps and the like are not allowed. Earrings are not allowed as well.

May option din for courier delivery pero since sa mall naman kami nag-apply, we thought we can drop by naman anytime.

Bring your child’s CTC of birth certificate in case there are details that can’t be read (blurred) on his/her PSA birth certificate mommies.

How much is the fee?

P1200, considered as rush ang courtesy lane

How many days?

7 working days (but para sure we’ve waited for 2 weeks before we claimed our passports. Pwede rin follow up through phone if available na. )

Kailangan pa ba ng passport photo?

No need na mommies. Your picture will be taken during the process.

We had our passport application at DFA Alabang (Metro, beside Alabang Town Center)

Hope these tips and information helped you mommies.

How about you mommies? How was your Passport Application experience?
xo

It’s great to hear that its hassle free.. Lalo na pag may kasamang bata, kasi madaling mag tantrums. Now I know, I can go anytime to get my 1 year old kid a passport.. Thank you for the good news 😊👍
