Do you also love fish? ๐Ÿ™‚

My little Zee loves fishย a looooot…

Tada! My easy fish fingers!

Tada! My easy fish fingers!

“Fish Finger”

Ingredients:

  • Fish Fillet (I’ve used creamy dory – you can buy frozen Cream Dory in local grocery stores or Fresh from the public market)
  • All purpose flour
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Egg
  • Cooking oil (for frying)
  • Lemon or Kalamansi

Procedure:

  1. Slice the fish into about 2 cm thick then squeeze lemon/kalamansi
  2. In a bowl, put flour season with salt & pepper (garlic powder is optional ; if you’re using frying mix – no need for salt & pepper)
  3. Prepare flour or frying mix, lightly beaten egg, bread crumbs into 3 separate plates or bowls
  4. Dredge each fish into flour, then to egg followed by the bread crumbs (coat remaining fish)
  5. Deep Fry or Bake , use paper towel to drain/absorb oil (or table napkin? as per my Mother / Nanay, I can also use clean bond paper)
  6. Serve it with Mayo-Garlicย Dip

For my little one, I didn’t roll the fish in egg to avoid allergic reactions. Its”finger like” shape made itย perfect for Baby Led Weaning.

Garlic Mayo Dip

Combineย Mayonaise, finely chopped garlic, season with salt & pepper garnish with chopped spring onions ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have potatoes or carrots, you can use the remaining F-E-B (flour-egg-bread crumbs) to coat them! Enjoy!
